Yes. DataRoad has physical offices and local teams inLisbon (headquarters), Porto, Faro, Funchal, and Évora, covering mainland Portugal and Madeira. Our hybrid support model—remote for the vast majority of situations, in-person for cases that warrant it—allows us to provide effective support to clients anywhere in the country.
For multinational organizations with operations in Portugal, we provide local IT support that is integrated with the group’s policies and systems, acting as the “IT Portugal” division for these companies. We have coordinated IT projects with teams in various European and American countries.
With regard to on-site services outside Brazil, we evaluate each case individually—particularly for clients with facilities in Portuguese-speaking or European countries.
DataRoad focuses exclusively on thecorporate and institutional sector. We do not provide support to individual customers. Our service model is designed for organizations—featuring a help desk, SLAs, reporting, asset management, and communication with IT managers or senior management.
The minimum number of users we typically work with is 5 to 10, although we can assess specific situations. There is no maximum limit—we serve everyone from small hotels to corporate groups with hundreds of users spread across multiple locations.
3 – Technical Support and SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
DataRoad support is available24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year—including weekends, holidays, and the Christmas season. This availability isn’t just a marketing gimmick: it’s a real necessity for the industries we serve.
A hotel doesn’t close at 6 p.m. A clinic can’t wait until Monday for its scheduling systems to come back online. An embassy cannot tolerate network downtime during official events. That’s why our monitoring and response capabilities are truly round-the-clock.
24/7 support includes response to critical incidents, active monitoring of the entire managed infrastructure, and automatic alerts with escalation to on-call technicians outside of business hours.
Our contracts define clear SLAs based on the severity level of the incident:
- Critical(service completely down) — initial response within 1 hour, immediate escalation
- High priority(significant impact on operations) — response within 4 hours
- Normal priority(limited impact, workaround available) — response within 1 business day
- Low priority(optimization issues, requests for information) — response within 2 business days
These times refer tothe initial response—the moment a technician takes charge of the incident and begins the diagnosis. Resolution time varies depending on the technical complexity, but we keep the customer informed of progress at all times.
Our proactive monitoring allows us, in many cases,to detect and resolve issues before the customer even notices them—which in practice means that many potentially critical incidents never end up affecting operations.

We primarily use theUbiquiti UniFi ecosystem, supplemented with Cisco solutions where the project warrants it. Our process includes:

DataRoad continuously configures, manages, and monitors its clients’ firewalls, including security signature updates and periodic reviews of access rules.
Yes. DataRoad manages server infrastructure using multiple models:
- Physical servers— installation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of Dell and other brands of servers
- Virtualized environments— VMware vSphere infrastructure management, including the creation, migration, and optimization of virtual machines
- Cloud servers— VM management on Azure, AWS, or other cloud providers
- Hybrid environments— where part of the infrastructure is on-premises and part is in the cloud, with integration between the two environments
Our VMware certification ensures that virtualized environments are deployed in accordance with best practices for redundancy, performance, and recovery. For physical hardware, our partnership with Dell allows us to recommend and procure equipment tailored to each workload, with guaranteed support.
6 – Cloud , Microsoft 365, and G Suite
Yes—Microsoft 365 is one of the platforms we manage most frequently for our clients. Our service in this area consists of three phases:
- Licensing— assessing actual needs and recommending the right plan (Business Basic, Standard, Premium, or Enterprise), avoiding over-licensing or under-licensing
- Migration— transfer of email, calendars, contacts, and files (from on-premises Exchange servers, Google Workspace, or other platforms) with zero or minimal downtime
- Ongoing management— administration of users, groups, security policies, MFA, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive; end-user support and training on the tools
As Microsoft partners, we benefit from direct technical support for complex situations and access to training and certification resources that keep us up to date on the platform’s constant developments.
This is a legitimate and common concern, especially in sectors such as healthcare, diplomacy, and finance. The short answer is:it depends on how it is managed.
Platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 offer levels of physical and logical security that the vast majority of companies would never be able to replicate in-house—geographic redundancy, security certifications (ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.), end-to-end encryption, and dedicated security teams.
The real risk in the cloud lies not in the platform itself, but inimproper configuration: overly permissive access rights, the absence of MFA, poorly defined sharing policies, or a lack of access monitoring. This is precisely where DataRoad adds value—by ensuring that our clients’ cloud deployments follow security best practices and are continuously monitored.
7 – Backup & Business Continuity
Yes—and for us, monitoring backups is just as important as the implementation itself.
A backup that isn’t checked regularly is just a false sense of security.
Our backup service includes:
- Design of a backup strategy appropriate to the criticality of the data (3-2-1 policy or variations)
- Implementation of on-premises, cloud, or hybrid backup solutions

TheIT Unlimitedstandard contract includes technical support with no limit on calls or remote assistance, 24/7 monitoring, preventive maintenance, and the agreed-upon core services. Longer on-site visits, infrastructure projects, and hardware purchases are handled separately and require a prior quote.
