DataRoad installs the IT network for the new easyHotel in Lisbon

DataRoad was selected by easyHotel to install the IT network for its new hotel in Lisbon, a 101-room property located on Rua de Santa Marta in a central area of the capital.

This new hotel is located next to the Autonomous University and Santa Marta Hospital, just a five-minute walk from Avenida da Liberdade and Marquês de Pombal, one of Lisbon’s most popular areas among both tourists and business travelers.

easyHotel expands its presence in Portugal

easyHotel is part of the group of brands associated with easyGroup, which is also a shareholder in the low-cost airline easyJet. The hotel chain operates in several countries, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria, and the United Arab Emirates, focusing on modern, functional, and well-located properties.

With the opening of this new hotel in Lisbon, easyHotel is expanding its presence in Portugal, entrusting its technological infrastructure to a partner specializing in corporate IT networks and the hospitality industry.

Complete installation of the hotel's IT infrastructure

The IT installation carried out by the DataRoad team covers the hotel’s entire technological infrastructure, including:

Workstations and back-office equipment
Structured computer network
Printers and support systems
POS (Point of Sale)
Professional wireless network with 38 Wi-Fi access points distributed across the building’s seven floors

The solution was designed to ensure performance, security, and scalability—all of which are essential for a hotel operation that runs around the clock.

Separate networks and centralized management

The network configuration separates the hotel’s internal network from the “guests” network, which is intended for guests, ensuring high levels of IT security and service stability.

The entire infrastructure will be managed through a central controller, enabling continuous network monitoring, fault detection, and efficient management of wireless access.

Infrastructure designed for redundancy and high availability

DataRoad will implement the computer network using:

Gigabit PoE switches, ideal for business and hotel environments
Redundancy capability between Internet service providers via a dedicated router
6 racks distributed across each floor, plus a central rack, facilitating organization, maintenance, and future expansions

This architecture ensures high network availability, which is essential for critical services such as check-in, payments, reservations, and guest Wi-Fi access.

24/7 IT maintenance with Unlimited service

In addition to setting up the computer network, easyHotel also chose DataRoad to provide 24/7 IT support, 365 days a year, through its Unlimited service.

This service provides ongoing technical assistance, remote and on-site support, and rapid incident response, ensuring the hotel’s operations continue without interruption.
